Will the new Metal Gear Ground Zeroes release on PC or is this just another unconfirmed rumor?

Chủ Nhật, 30 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Maybe this is just a rumor, then again it might not be. There is a supposed rumor floating around that the new Metal Gear game Ground Zeroes might be coming out on PC, as well as Xbox360 and PS3 game systems when it makes its release. How do I know this and where did I see it?, that's a very good question and I'm glad you asked it. Now head over to this link at Zavvi and you'll see exactly what I mean. Are you done yet? Hopefully by the time you're reading this post, that link should still be active, if not, it originally showed a preliminary box for the PC version of Ground Zeroes, but wait, Konami games development didn't say anything about the new Metal Gear game coming out on PC, only Rising Revengeance made that claim.

From that site, unless it's expired, it showed the price of £34.95, since it's a European site and that price tag converts to $59.95 for North America, with a currently non confirmed release date yet to be set for it. So if Kojima productions never mentioned anything about a PC version, what is the deal? Now let's make one point, the Ground Zeroes demo was running on a PC, but Hideo Kojima said the game's Fox Engine was designed specifically for the Xbox360 and PS3 systems. This leaves us all with the famous "will it or won't it" scenario. The PC version of Metal Gear game titles usually looks prettier, as we have seen in the past. After looking at that box below, tell me if you think it's real, or a total fake.

Dracolle Studio to bring Dragon Collection to the United States

| 0 nhận xét

Japanese gamers know this one well, because there are over 6 million of them playing it on their mobile phones. It's called Dragon Collection and it's a card based battling game that Konami games development, or rather their Dracolle Studio, is fixing to bring to the United States. There is likely a distinct difference between what Japanese gamers like and what American gamers like. The producer Kenichi Kataoka has some concerns about it as he has declared this release as simply "testing the waters". Kataoka hasn't dipped into the American market as far as what those particular gamers want and expect, so Dragon Collection is going to be the catalyst for future game development, in regards to how well the new port is received. Kataoka went on making this statement about the matter:

“Although we are trying to achieve a similar or larger fanbase than we achieved in Japan… We’d also like to learn — because we are new in the U.S. market — what people are thinking and playing, and what kind of devices they are using. By learning the difference between U.S. and Japanese markets, then [we] will be able to develop another game tailored to U.S. market.”

It's a good thing Konami games development is this open minded to other countries and wants to tailor games like these to them accordingly, I have yet to actually play Dragon Collection myself, but judging from the screen shot below, it doesn't look too bad does it? Seems like a fun title as millions of Japanese gamers are digging it. Konami games development has also made a mention about an IP that everyone should know currently in production for mobile devices. Really?, wonder what that one is, hmmm.

Silent Hill movie gets a really cool looking poster to make your Halloween even more special

| 0 nhận xét

As we get ever so closer to the box office release of the new Silent Hill game based movie Revelation 3D, some of you might have not seen the cool new poster for it yet. Well here it is!, so download it or whatever you want with it and tell me what you think about it. Not bad eh? The new Silent Hill movie is said to have some pretty strong special effects and I personally can't wait for the release date. The storyline for Silent Hill Revelation 3D is as follows:

"Heather Mason (Adelaide Clemens) and her father (Sean Bean) have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever."

Check out some of the movie details if you haven't done so already at Imdb and then check the official movie trailer down below the poster, and the nurse scene below that one. Silent Hill Revelation 3D opens on October the 26th next month at a theater near you, just a few days before Halloween. That's probably deliberate isn't it?

Hideo Kojima has confirmed more details about the new Metal Gear Ground Zeroes and what you might look forward to seeing

| 0 nhận xét

So far what we know about the new Metal Gear game Ground Zeroes, is that it will have a day and night cycles, meaning, it will change from day to night and night back into day. That's game time and not real life time of course, and as the time changes, it alters the behavior of the guards and military personnel patrolling around each of the areas. But at the EuroGamer Expo recently, Hideo Kojima has confirmed yet more details about Ground Zeroes that are really interesting. Remember the Mother Base mechanic that you had access to in the Metal Gear game Peace Walker?, yeah, that concept is making a return to Ground Zeroes. With the Mother Base mechanic you could hire people, make weapons and equipment and so fourth. Here are just some of what Kojima had to say at the Expo recently:

“We liked the concept of developing weapons and creating new things at your base, and how that influenced the gameplay. That was a really cool idea, and something that was very popular. I can’t reveal too much about what happens after you get in your chopper, but you get in and fly to your base. Then you can walk around your base all in real-time. It’s the base that you create. But if you want to focus more on the main missions, you can do that, so you don’t have to customise the base if you don’t want to.”

So while your playing in Ground Zeroes, you can call a helicopter, fly to a base, and then wonder around the base and even customize it to your liking. And this folks, is going to be in a huge open world environment, not to mention the added realism of the day and night cycle that happens in real time, meaning, if you fly to another location, depending on how far away that location is, that will be what affects what time of day it is, and how dark or bright things are. Now that's awesome. Kojima also mentioned that your helicopter can be used as support as well if you need. We all saw in the video of how you can call a helicopter, but you can also call it anytime and go anywhere you want, back to your base and mess around for a while if you like.
As of right now, this is the latest video explaining what all of this means, so check it out and enjoy.

Konami finally announces a release date for the new Silent Hill Book of Memories coming soon to your Vita system.

| 0 nhận xét

It's finally official, I think for real this time, no really! OK enough of that, after delaying what seemed like four different times, Konami games development has FINALLY announced a confirmed release date for the new Silent Hill game Book of Memories. Drum roll please...................October the 16th! Boy I hope that date doesn't change again. I don't think it will this time, but don't quote me on that. Good news however, the demo for Book of Memories is supposedly going to be released on on the Playstation Network this Tuesday on October the 2nd, which is just a few short days away. You will at least then be able to see how good the new hand held title really is and whether or not it's worth you forking out the purchase price of the full game when it actually does get released.

The new Silent Hill game has a different perspective this time around, so it may or may not sit well with long time fans of the Silent Hill game series. It's a top-down viewpoint title and promises to deliver the features that the PSVita is well known for, while trying to scare you to death. This marks the first time in Silent Hill history that Konami games development has tried this sort of approach and somewhat backed away from the style of game play that Silent Hill is known for. But different isn't always bad, sometimes it's good. The real answer should come next week, when the demo comes out, and officially, on October the 16th.

Konami announces limited edition Zone of the Enders HD collection with Metal Gear game demo

| 0 nhận xét

This is something fans of the Zone of the Enders series have been waiting for. Konami games development has announced that the new Zone of the Enders HD collection will have a limited edition copy you can purchase and will feature a gold metallic packaging, which will not only include a 100-page art book from artist Yoji Shinkawa, but also a special soundtrack CD containing remixed music from the ZOE series that we've come to know and love. Of course, it doesn't stop right there, what it also comes with is that almighty demo to the new Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance, something we've been waiting to get our hands on for quite some time now. Konami announced this news at the annual Gamers Night event in San Francisco yesterday, and boy I'd wished I was there, but anyway.

Zone of the Enders HD collection will be arriving soon to your PS3 and Xbox360 game systems as of next month on October the 30th, just before Halloween. Fans of the new Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance will see a limited edition of their new hit title next February the 19th, and it will have included with it a special steel bookcase, a soundtrack CD with music from the game of course, and this is the real kicker, it will also come with a high-frequency katana blade plasma lamp. Really? Does that plug into the wall? Has anyone seen a picture of that? If so let me know so I can post it here for others to look at. In the meantime, check out one of the cool videos for the new Zone of the Enders HD collection and see what you think of it so far. I've also seen some nice feedback for the latest Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance video that was redone in English, so if you  haven't seen that one yet, check it out below as well and enjoy.

Unknown actor to play Solid Snake in the Metal Gear movie as more details emerge

Thứ Năm, 27 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Now listen to this, you might hate it, or you might love it. Originally Hugh Jackman, the guy who played Wolverine in the X-Men movies, was once considered by Hideo Kojima to play the role of Solid Snake in the new Metal Gear game based movie now in production. But now, we have an interesting twist taking place in Hollywood. Kojima and Avi Arad who once considered using Jackman for the starring role, have reconsidered and are going to use an unknown actor to play Solid Snake's role. This is considered a fresh new face on the scene and gives this unknown actor a chance to showcase his stuff on the big screen. Some people might not like that idea, but Kojima hasn't let us down yet, and he is serving as an advisory to the new Metal Gear movie and assisting it.

What about Big Boss? That surely would've been the better storyline, but then again, Metal Gear Solid was more about Solid Snake, and trust me, if this new Metal Gear movie takes off the way I think it will, Big Boss will get his day in the sunshine. We have to start somewhere. Since Avi Arad was chosen to do the production of the Metal Gear movie, I have confidence that it's going to be a blockbuster. After all, his work involved X-Men, Iron-Man, Spider-Man and a number of other films. He is well known for his adaptation of comic book franchise to movies and is respected big time in the film industry. Right now as it stands, who knows who this new unknown actor will be, but if Hideo Kojima seems fit to use him for Solid Snake's character, it could be just the kick start his career needs.

As more becomes known about the Metal Gear game based movie, you can bet I'll post here about it. The more we know, the more exciting the thought of watching Solid Snake on the big screen becomes. Who will play Meryl, or how about the bad guys like Revolver Ocelot? There is a lot to be covered as of yet.

Could the next Silent Hill be made by Hideo Kojima and make use of the famous Fox Engine?

| 0 nhận xét

The idea of making a Silent Hill game has been very attractive to Metal Gear game producer Hideo Kojima. The very thought of putting the Silent Hill game universe within the power of the Fox Engine might some day become a bright reality. Recently, the president of Konami games development has personally asked Hideo Kojima if he would like to make the next Silent Hill game, using the Fox Engine. Hideo said recently according to the source article at GamerRevolution today:

"Silent Hill" is in closed room setting and doesn't require full action so that we can focus on the graphic quality. Enemy doesn't have to be a lot or move fast. It only requires scariness by graphics and presentation. As being a creator making action game in open world, such game is very enviously attractive. Wish someone could create this on FOX engine. In the past I've mentioned Silent Hill in interviews, and as a result of that the president of Konami rung me up and said he'd like me to make the next Silent Hill.

Honestly, I'm kind of a scaredy-cat when it comes to horror movies, so I'm not confident I can do it. At the same time, there's a certain type of horror that only people who are scared of can create, so maybe it's something I can do. That said, I think Silent Hill has a certain atmosphere. I think it has to continue, and I'd love to help it continue, and if I can help by supervising or lending the technology of the Fox Engine, then I'd love to participate in that respect."

So how about that, Kojima revealing that the possibility of the next Silent Hill game being done with the almighty Fox Engine. If that doesn't tickle you to death I don't know what will. I hope he actually gets serious about it, if Silent Hill gets on the same level as the Metal Gear game series is know for, it has my vote. It looks like a cosplay attack below between Solid Snake and a Silent Hill nurse. I wonder who would win?

Video Game Orchestra plays Castlevania and Metal Gear music while giving the fans something to cheer about

| 0 nhận xét

It's always nice to see this sort of thing take place. On October the 7th, the Video Game Orchestra will be appearing at the Boston Symphony Hall to place video game music from some of your favorite classics. Such classics include Final Fatasy, Chrono Trigger, Grandia, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, and last but certainly not least, music from the Castlevania game series. Now won't that be a real treat. Tickets start out at $40.50, then $52.50, $64.50 and finally you can get V.I.P tickets for $100, which allows you to meet and greet with the four composers who will be playing for you. Composers include Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts), Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy XII), Noriyuki Iwadare (Grandia) and Kinuyo Yamashita (Castlevania)

If interested you can get tickets for the performance by heading to the source article located at VGO, which I believe is the official home page for the Video Game Orchestra. I wish I could go myself, and get in the front row. Listening to game music from Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania, as well as others, is something I've always wanted to witness and hear. In the meantime, you can check out some past experiences from the Video Game Orchestra. The top one is a Castlevania Medley, Vampire Killer, the bottom one features music from the Metal Gear Solid games. Have fun.
