You might remember years ago, there were 2 Metal Gear game titles that came out on the PSP hand held game system. Metal Gear Acid and Metal Gear Acid 2. They were card based, unlike the typical Metal Gear game experience, you used cards to decide the next move. History is fixing to repeat itself, well sort of, with this year's release of Metal Gear Solid Social Ops, coming soon to your Android phone and iOS. From what you can see so far in the video trailer below, might not be down your alley if you favor the Metal Gear universe as it's usually known, stealth, sneaking, and confrontation. However the success of Metal Gear games like Acid and Acid 2 showed that there just so happens to be a market for card based action oriented games, even for the mobile platform.
The trailer lasts for 2 minutes, 21 seconds and gives a good demonstration of what to expect when Social Ops makes it release later on this year. This is the Japanese version, though, as soon as an English version is available I'll post it here. This was the one handed out at the Tokyo Game Show recently when Metal Gear Social Ops was on display. The video below that one is more footage, but shows some guy playing the game while chewing gum? Okay, a little odd but at least it's more footage, or something.
