A new trailer emerges for the Zone of the Enders HD collection now available

Thứ Bảy, 24 tháng 11, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Now that we all have Zone of the Enders HD collection in our grips, Konami has still decided to continued promoting its release with a fresh new video trailer for your viewing pleasure. This one is called the Anubis Z.O.E. Reboot trailer. This one shows off more of whats in store for those of you who still might be in the thinking process of whether or not your going to put this under your tree this year. Why is it called Anubis?, in Japan, Zone of the Enders The 2nd Runner is what it's called there. Anubis: Zone of the Enders to be more specific. You can watch it below if you like and see what you think of it. It lasts for about 3 minutes, 15 seconds and is mainly there to showcase The 2nd Runner, part 2 of the Zone of the Enders series. This might be the last of the promotion videos Konami games development puts out, but if not, I'll post it here.

The latest videos for the new Zone of the Enders HD collection review

Thứ Sáu, 9 tháng 11, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Now that the new Zone of the Enders HD collection is out, how does it stack up against the older PS2 version. It's time to see the answers for yourself. If you're a fan of the original ZOE, then you should know what a marvel and hit the original Zone of the Enders, and it's sequel, Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner were back in the day. Konami games development has seen fit lately, especially this year to bring out HD reincarnations of older titles, like Silent Hill, Metal Gear, and now with the release of ZOE, now out on both the PS3 and Xbox360 formats respectively.

From observation, Konami has revamped the textures, making them sharper in the process, along with of course, the HD element addition. The sound has seen some improvement as well, giving the player a better surround mix, on top of the other improved sound effects as well. Just as in the original Zone of the Enders, you can expect the same type of control feel in the HD remake of it. There is one issue I'd like to point out as I did in another recent post, and that's the frame rate issue. It seems that Konami had originally promised a full fledged 60 frames per second for the new HD ZOE, but from what I understand, the Xbox360 gets an average fps of 39fps, while the PS3 version lags a bit behind at a slower 32fps. Now that might not be a total turn off for die hard ZOE fans, but for some it could very well be.

Still, Zone of the Enders HD collection is a fun ride for you mecha lovers alike, and after viewing a couple of videos below, you can make your observations and decide if you like what you see. I searched over YouTube and dug up some of the best, longest, and most recent videos for you to watch so you can see for yourself if this is going to be a must buy for your Christmas needs this year. Enjoy!

Zone of the Enders HD collection and frame rate issues controversy

Thứ Tư, 7 tháng 11, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

We've been waiting a while for the new Zone of the Enders HD collection, and now that it's out there, a new question has surfaced from the fan base. What happened to the promise of 60 FPS? From what I understand there are some issues with ZOE HD collection and its frame rate. It seems that the Xbox360 version is getting around 39 fps, while the PS3 is even slower with around 32 fps. That's a far cry from what Konami promised with a full 60 fps.

As it stands right now, there is no current mention if Konami will release a patch or something related to address this issue. Some are furious about it, as there are two videos out that show a comparison between between the PS2 version, and PS3, and then again between Xbox360 versus PS3. I posted them below for you to get an idea of what I'm talking about. If you bought it or just want to give your feedback as to what you think, then feel free to leave a comment. If there is a patch or fix for the frame rate issue released, I'll definitely post about it here if and when it happens. Check out the videos and enjoy.

Zone of the Enders HD collection comes out in Japan this week

Thứ Ba, 23 tháng 10, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

The new Zone of the Enders HD collection will be launched later this week, and to top it off Konami games development has decided to place a huge Jehuty Mecha on top of the Shimura Musen Building in Akihabara. Why is that? To promote the new release of course, and what better way to do it than a gigantic Zone of the Enders Mecha!

The Jehuty Mecha will be placed there starting October 25th, and sit there until  Konami takes it down on November 4th. The only thing I wish, is that they would give it to me so I can put it in my living room, although I'd definitely have to make some room for it. Perhaps even knock a wall down. If you haven't yet, check out the video of Zone of the Enders HD collection and tell me what you think of it.

This is something fans of the Zone of the Enders series have been waiting for. Konami games development has announced that the new Zone of the Enders HD collection will have a limited edition copy you can purchase and will feature a gold metallic packaging, which will not only include a 100-page art book from artist Yoji Shinkawa, but also a special soundtrack CD containing remixed music from the ZOE series that we've come to know and love. Of course, it doesn't stop right there, what it also comes with is that almighty demo to the new Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance, something we've been waiting to get our hands on for quite some time now. Konami announced this news at the annual Gamers Night event in San Francisco yesterday, and boy I'd wished I was there, but anyway.

Zone of the Enders HD collection will be arriving soon to your PS3 and Xbox360 game systems as of next month on October the 30th, just before Halloween. Fans of the new Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance will see a limited edition of their new hit title next February the 19th, and it will have included with it a special steel bookcase, a soundtrack CD with music from the game of course, and this is the real kicker, it will also come with a high-frequency katana blade plasma lamp. Really? Does that plug into the wall? Has anyone seen a picture of that? If so let me know so I can post it here for others to look at. In the meantime, check out one of the cool videos for the new Zone of the Enders HD collection and see what you think of it so far. I've also seen some nice feedback for the latest Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance video that was redone in English, so if you  haven't seen that one yet, check it out below as well and enjoy.

Konami announces release date for Zone of the Enders HD collection

Thứ Năm, 20 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Konami games development has announced yesterday that they have set a release date of October 30th this year for the new Zone of the Enders HD collection for the PS3 and Xbox360 game systems. True fans of the hit title will get more appreciation once they find out what their purchase will land them. Along with a fully remastered version of the mega hit original Zone of the Enders, fans will also receive Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. The 2nd Runner was never released in North America, only Europe, so this will be the first time in history North America will not only get to play 2nd Runner, but a remastered HD version of it as well. But wait, Konami isn't done yet. They have also included none other than the new Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance demo as apart of the package. This too will be the first time the customer will have to play the new Metal Gear, and I'm sure they are going to wear that sucker out, wouldn't you?

Zone of the Enders features a futuristic robot fighting action taking place on a interplanetary area. PS2 fans know it quite well, I myself have played it for a while, and loved it. The new Zone of the Enderes HD collection has also included a new animated opening sequence, something ZOE is a bit known for. Other features include sharpened resolutions from past animation cinemas. As of right now Amazon has it listed for a price of $39.99, although they haven't updated their release date to October 30th as of right now. Watch the video below to get an idea of what the new ZOE HD will look and feel like. Hideo Kojima hosts and explains some elements for ZOE.

Playable demo of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance removed in Japan on Xbox360

Chủ Nhật, 16 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Recently we all found out that the new Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance will not be coming to the Xbox360 in Japan for obvious reasons. Among them are the fact that the Japanese aren't exactly the biggest fans of Microsoft, OR their systems. I can't say that I blame them, but here is another removal taking place in Japan, Kojima Productions has stated that they are removing the playable demo of the new Metal Gear game from the Zone of the Enders HD collection as well. So Xbox360 owners will not be able to get a hands on play of Rising Revengeance to try out early before others, only PS3 owners will be able to take advantage of that, at least in that particular region.

Nintendo and Sony reign supreme when it comes to gaming in Japan. Once upon a time it was Sega and Nintendo, remember those days from way back when? Anyway, check out the 8 minute cool cinematic trailer and enjoy.

Zone of the Enders movie opening now released and reveals some new information

Thứ Ba, 4 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Remember that awesome hit Zone of the Enders? Sure you do, and now Konami of Japan has released the movie opening for the Zone of the Enders HD collection. The reason for this is to find out something critical about the series, and that is this, will Konami make a third Zone of the Enders for use to enjoy? Maybe, and maybe not. It's probably going to depend on just how well the new Zone of the Enders collection does in terms of sales. Konami game development as it stands right now is in the middle of two Metal Gear game titles, Rising Revengeance, and Ground Zero, and if they intend to focus any time on a new ZOE game, it had better be worth the investment to them.

Anyway, watch the cool movie opening and see what you think. If Konami does make a third Zone of the Enders game, would you buy it?
