Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate gets a brand new trailer and more details

Happy Halloween!, and here is a Halloween treat for you. We've all been waiting eagerly for quite a while now for more details about the latest in development Castlevania Mirror of Fate. We now have that within our grasps, because here is a brand spanking new video trailer for you to watch and enjoy, which also answers some hard core questions out there about who will be playable and who not. As it turns out, Gabriel Belmont has now joined the Mirror of Fate lineup, along with Alucard, Simon Belmont, and Trevor Belmont. So we have a total of four awesome characters to choose from in Mirror of Fate, along with the video trailer below showcasing some cool game play to boot.

As with Lords of Shadow, Robert Carlyle will once again be the almighty voice of Gabriel Belmont, while Alec Newman and Richard Madden will be the voices behind the mask of Simon Belmont and Trevor Belmont. So far as it stands right now, we only know that Castlevania Mirror of Fate is set for a scheduled release of early 2013, as no exact date has been set yet by Mercury Steam development team. After watching the video below, I'm impressed with what's in store for us so far. The level and character design alone is magnificent to say the least. Mercury Steam is definitely doing right by the Castlevania game series. Tell me what you think about the development so far and the inclusion of Gabriel Belmont as a playable character, not to mention Alucard, Simon and Trevor. Enjoy.

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance gets limited edition set for Japan

Konami has shown some really cool new photos of the limited edition set for the new Metal Gear game Rising Revengeance in Japan. For 9,980 yen, Japanese gamers will receive an art book from Yoji Shinkawa, and original soundtrack for the game which includes a steel book case, and finally a Scarab figure. In addition to this, you can also get the Metal Gear Rising Premium Package Special Edition, which also features a Play Arts Kai action figure, basically, a white version of Raiden for a price tag of 12,980 yen. You can also get the Downloadable content costume for Grey Fox with a pre-order if you choose.

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance is set release next February 19th on multiple systems, including Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Creepy Konami titles go on sale just in time for Halloween.

Time to celebrate Halloween a bit early this year, and what a better way to do it than slashing prices on some really cool Konami games. Konami has decided to charge just half price for the following hit titles, Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Alone, Castlevania Harmony of Despair, and Castlevania Lords of Shadow. The new half price deal actually started a few days ago, and should last for a couple of weeks starting from October 24th. Among the price slashes you can also get some really cool DLC (Downloadable) content for all three games. The "Pure Pwnage Pack" will be available for Zombie Apocalypse: Never Die Along, and for you Castlevania lovers get this, four new levels for Harmony of Despair, while Lords of Shadow will receive the Reverie and Resurrection packs.

Silent Hill Revelation 3D hits the theaters tomorrow.

Just one more day folks, and Silent Hill Revelation 3D will be in our clutches. It's been too many years since we had a chance to witness a Silent Hill movie, and this time around it's in 3D. From the latest and final trailer below, you can get an idea of what Michael J. Basset has in store for us all. Basset is the writer and director of the new Silent Hill movie and went to some pretty deep lengths to make Revelation 3D. If you're interested, you can check out Basset's official Blog by going here. He updates it whenever he gets a chance and talks about what he's currently involved with at the moment. So if you haven't done so yet, check out the final and official movie trailer below and tell me if you plan to go see it, as I know I will tomorrow. The lovely Adelaide Clemens (Heather) stars in it and will be the main character in the new film. Also check out the 3 minute "behind the scenes" video below to get some ideas about the production that went into the movie. The storyline to Silent Hill Revelation 3D is as follows:

You won't have to wait for a Castlevania movie, because Castlevania Hymn of Blood is out right now.

Unofficially that is. I couldn't believe this when I saw it, but a high budget Castlevania fan based movie is out right now as we speak. I say high budget because well, you watch it right now below and comment on what you think about it. It's called Castlevania Hymn of Blood, and it's a new web series that's been started. This 11 minute video is episode 1 just released recently and after watching it I couldn't believe my eyes! This is a fan based film? Really? A decent amount of money must have been put into the production of this video because it looks freaking awesome!

The storyline starts out with a woman going through labor and giving birth to a baby boy, after which she names Simon. Yes, that's right, as in Simon Belmont. I won't go into too much detail because you really need to grab a snack and watch Castlevania Hymn of Blood Episode 1 yourself. Trust me, you're going to like it. It might not be your typical Hollywood blockbuster with the latest special effects you're used to at the theater, but if you are a fan of the Castlevania game series, or even if you're not, you will likely love what your about to witness with this video. Episode 1 is just the beginning, as I hope it's so well received that we will get episode 2 pretty quick. After they're finished with all episodes, I hope the sucker comes out on DVD and Blue Ray, don't you?

This brings me to a new question, and I want you're feedback on this because we might be looking at a turning point in Internet history. Could films like Castlevania Hymn of Blood be a beginning in what I like to call, "video game to film adaptations for the Internet audience", so to speak? This is pure inspiration for people to put this kind of effort forth to make this sort of thing and also demonstrates that the fan based audience, when they do a video game based movie, will get the storyline and action more righteously done than you sometimes see with a Hollywood type production. That's something to think about as you make your comments about it. I'm glad to see that our beloved Simon Belmont is the starring character in it, and after watching the video, tell me what you would like to see take place in the next episode. I think episode 2 is probably going to start to unfold the Castlevania storyline quite a bit more.

Oh and one more thing, the makers of Castlevania Hymn of Blood want to assure you that they are in no way, shape, or form associated or affiliated with Konami, a legal matter they wanted to take care of before hand, so no legal action will be taken against them. I can't say I blame them, and we all want more of this Castlevania movie stuff to keep coming out so we can enjoy it, as I'm sure you will the first episode. The second I catch wind about episode 2, I'll post about it and put the video here for you to check out. I'm going to make a quick prediction, and say that episode 2 might reveal the childhood upbringing of Simon Belmont, and his training to become a vampire hunter, but that's probably a no brainer of course. Anyway, have fun and enjoy the video and see what you think so far with Castlevania Hymn of Blood. More on this new phenomenon as unfolds.

Street Heroes GBC Scans (Chinese Version)

Scans for the Chinese release of Street Heroes by Sachen.

I like how the Chinese Sachen games mention an English manual (which they never have) but the English releases actually have them but aren't mentioned anywhere.  The Chinese (格鬥英雄), in case you're wondering, roughly translates to "Fighting Heroes."  And because I don't know where else to toss it, here's a cart scan of Zook Hero 2 that I got with this.

I've seen another cart with a different label on it, but I didn't get it.  Also, the boot logo is weird as hell.  It's not the usual "V.Fame" boot logo but this:

Your guess on what that's supposed to mean is as good as mine.

Zone of the Enders HD collection comes out in Japan this week

The new Zone of the Enders HD collection will be launched later this week, and to top it off Konami games development has decided to place a huge Jehuty Mecha on top of the Shimura Musen Building in Akihabara. Why is that? To promote the new release of course, and what better way to do it than a gigantic Zone of the Enders Mecha!

The Jehuty Mecha will be placed there starting October 25th, and sit there until  Konami takes it down on November 4th. The only thing I wish, is that they would give it to me so I can put it in my living room, although I'd definitely have to make some room for it. Perhaps even knock a wall down.
