Episode IV is now out for the new Castlevania fan movie "Hymn of Blood" for your viewing pleasure

Thứ Tư, 14 tháng 11, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

It's Castlevania Hymn of Blood time. This time around the Castlevania fan movie gets Episode IV. Yes, also the rumors you heard were also true. Michael Dorn stars in it as a wearwolf. For those of you who don't know who that is, he played Worf on Star Trek The Next Generation. So get ready for some wear wolf action from our beloved Klingon. Let me also bring you up to speed in case you're new to the series. Castlevania Hymn of Blood is a "high budget" fan based web series, which starts out with the birth of Simon Belmont, who must be taken away from the clutches of Lord Dracula before he can christen him with his own dark powers, thereby corrupting and turning him.

This is the fourth installment of the series, and each new episode is set to be released every Tuesday at 12PM. So now you know when to expect to see them released. We all complained for years about the lack of a Castlevania movie, well here you go, and believe me, it's pretty darn good. Especially since it's a fan based movie, due to it being a high budget one. Now that is awesome to say the least. This is apart of IGN's official START YouTube channel, so if you're ready for some more Castlevania live action, then by all means feel free to head there now and enjoy what you see. Just check back each Tuesday after 12PM for for Castlevania action until the very end. Let me also know what you think of them so far and feel free to comment here about it. Enjoy.

The next Castlevania movie episodes are now released

Thứ Sáu, 9 tháng 11, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

I should be slapped for missing this one. Episode 2 and 3 are now out for the Castlevania game based fan movie, which again is a high budget fan made movie so don't underestimate it if you haven't yet witnessed the first one. In fact, let me just go ahead and post all 3 of the suckers right here and save you a step in the process. There you go.

Let me bring you up to speed if this is your first time watching, these episodes are from a full length fan based high budget Castlevania movie by IGN's START YouTube channel. It's called Castlevania Hymn of Blood and has a scheduled release for every Tuesday at 12PM. Each episode is over 10 minutes long, and further explains the storyline, but let me paraphrase the summary,

"Deep inside Dracula's Castle, Simon Belmont, the unholy heir to the Count is born in secret, and stolen away before Dracula can christen him with his dark powers"

The first episode was uploaded October 23rd, the second on the 30th, and the third episode was released recently on November 6th. So expect to see the next one this coming Tuesday the 13th, that being Episode number 4. A lot of effort and good acting went into this darling movie, so you and I, the Castlevania lovers don't have to wait forever for a Castlevania box office movie, which by the way in case you didn't know, is also currently in production. Michael Dorn is starring in that one as a wearworf. Remember Dorn?, the guy that played Worf on Star Trek the Next Generation? Yeah, he's gonna make a great wearwolf I'm thinking. Hopefully we'll get to watch that one on the big screen sometime next year.

Now back to Castlevania Hymn of Blood, after watching these episodes, and you want more information and behind the scenes extra content, you can like START on FaceBook and get access to that material right now.  Remember to check them out when you're done and keep in mind that each new episode is scheduled for release ever Tuesday at 12PM, or you can also check back here as well since I'll be posting about it from now on as soon as they are out. Oh, and about that REAL Castlevania movie I mentioned about, the one with Michael Dorn in it, you can find out a lot more about that one you can check out a post I did a while back about it and both read and listen to an interview with Michael Dorn by clicking here. Enjoy the Castlevania Hymn of Blood episodes below and check back for more releases as they take place.

You won't have to wait for a Castlevania movie, because Castlevania Hymn of Blood is out right now.

Unofficially that is. I couldn't believe this when I saw it, but a high budget Castlevania fan based movie is out right now as we speak. I say high budget because well, you watch it right now below and comment on what you think about it. It's called Castlevania Hymn of Blood, and it's a new web series that's been started. This 11 minute video is episode 1 just released recently and after watching it I couldn't believe my eyes! This is a fan based film? Really? A decent amount of money must have been put into the production of this video because it looks freaking awesome!

The storyline starts out with a woman going through labor and giving birth to a baby boy, after which she names Simon. Yes, that's right, as in Simon Belmont. I won't go into too much detail because you really need to grab a snack and watch Castlevania Hymn of Blood Episode 1 yourself. Trust me, you're going to like it. It might not be your typical Hollywood blockbuster with the latest special effects you're used to at the theater, but if you are a fan of the Castlevania game series, or even if you're not, you will likely love what your about to witness with this video. Episode 1 is just the beginning, as I hope it's so well received that we will get episode 2 pretty quick. After they're finished with all episodes, I hope the sucker comes out on DVD and Blue Ray, don't you?

This brings me to a new question, and I want you're feedback on this because we might be looking at a turning point in Internet history. Could films like Castlevania Hymn of Blood be a beginning in what I like to call, "video game to film adaptations for the Internet audience", so to speak? This is pure inspiration for people to put this kind of effort forth to make this sort of thing and also demonstrates that the fan based audience, when they do a video game based movie, will get the storyline and action more righteously done than you sometimes see with a Hollywood type production. That's something to think about as you make your comments about it. I'm glad to see that our beloved Simon Belmont is the starring character in it, and after watching the video, tell me what you would like to see take place in the next episode. I think episode 2 is probably going to start to unfold the Castlevania storyline quite a bit more.

Oh and one more thing, the makers of Castlevania Hymn of Blood want to assure you that they are in no way, shape, or form associated or affiliated with Konami, a legal matter they wanted to take care of before hand, so no legal action will be taken against them. I can't say I blame them, and we all want more of this Castlevania movie stuff to keep coming out so we can enjoy it, as I'm sure you will the first episode. The second I catch wind about episode 2, I'll post about it and put the video here for you to check out. I'm going to make a quick prediction, and say that episode 2 might reveal the childhood upbringing of Simon Belmont, and his training to become a vampire hunter, but that's probably a no brainer of course. Anyway, have fun and enjoy the video and see what you think so far with Castlevania Hymn of Blood. More on this new phenomenon as unfolds.

A Castlevania movie is a reality! New Castlevania Movie details.

Thứ Ba, 18 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

For the love of Trevor Belmont, it's really finally happening, a Castlevania game based movie is now officially underway! Michael Dorn, does that ring a bell? It should. He played Worf on Star Trek The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, and a number of Star Trek movies. Recently he made a statement in an interview at Star Trek a short while back, and here it is for you to drool over.

Moving from Castle to Castlevania, tell us about your more current projects…

"Dorn: Castlevania is a movie that Marina got me involved with. It’s based on a video game. People have been trying to get this thing done for a long time and they finally got the producers together that want to do it. They finally got the OK from the owners, and so they’re doing it. It’s a fun little part. It’s four days, and I’m playing a werewolf that’s been around for a gajillion years who works for this vampire. It’s not too far from Worf because there’s a lot of killing and jumping and sword fights and everything. So that’s what I’m doing now, and I just got offered another movie that would start at the end of September. I don’t know if that’s going to go, so I can’t discuss it now. The funny thing is, last year, things were going OK but slow, and I thought, “Well, maybe I’m retired. Maybe it’s time to think about playing more tennis and having lunches with friends.” The minute I did that, I got busier than I’ve ever been. I just finished a play, As You Like It, for the Shakespeare Center of L.A. I just did another tiny movie for a friend. That’s a nice position to be in, where I do something because I read it and it’s fun or dramatic or interesting or it’s for a friend. I don’t do something because, “Oh my God, I have to pay the rent.” That’s a great place to be."

There you have it, after years of talking, including myself about it, it's finally happening. If you search this blog, you'll see that the very FIRST post out of the hundreds I've made over the years was about the Castlevania movie. Let me save you a quick step, here is the LINK to it. It talks about the possibility of another Star Trek icon, Jonathon Frakes starring in it. But now that we know Michael Dorn will play a wearwolf in it, that's pretty awesome. Do you want more?, go to Nerdist, click on the PodCast play button, and save yourself a lot of time by skipping to the time segment 1:09.00, you will hear Michael Dorn himself mention about his role in the Castlevania movie in a live interview about some other roles he's involved with.

Now moving on to some questions that many are asking, but no one can answer yet, including me. The Castlevania game based movie was originally going to be the brainchild of Resident Evil: Retribution director Paul W.S. Anderson, who had intentions to do the Castlevania movie way back in 2006, after which Crystal Sky Pictures obtained the rights, with Paul at the helm to direct. There was delay after delay in starting production on the movie due to some squabbling over the script, and what should be in it. In 2007, Paul Anderson walked away from the project due to other work. By the time 2009 had arrived, the drive to begin a Castlevania movie was gone, or rather it was cancelled. Now that we have this morsel of confirmation and info, we can now actually look forward to getting some popcorn and watching Castlevania on the big screen.

The biggest questions are now, who will star in it? Will the starring character be Trevor Belmont?, Simon Belmont?, Richter Belmont? Who will play Dracula? Will Paul Anderson be the one directing it? What will the storyline be about? We now at least have the ability to get those questions answered in time now that the Castlevania game based movie is a reality. Stay tuned, I'm all over this like mustard on a hot dog, and watch the video below with Paul Anderson talking about the Castlevania movie. That might make your day. Then tell me what think about all of this. If you have any more information that I don't, please comment, and point to some evidence, and I'll post about it for others to see.

                                               A possible poster? Maybe.

A possible Castlevania movie just might hit the scene if we are lucky enough

Thứ Ba, 28 tháng 8, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Some think it's never going to happen, that it's utter bull crap. But wait, not so fast now. I know its been years since the idea for a Castlevania movie has been toyed around with, but rest assure, it hasn't been forgotten. Just delayed until God knows when. ShockTillYouDrop did bring up a good point today with their latest article. I mean, think about this, the director of Resident Evil movies, Paul W.S. Anderson is the one who wants to make the Castlevania game based movie. On top of that, it was originally thought that Jonathan Frakes was going to play Simon Belmont, which I believe he is just a tad too old for that role now. There was also the new 3D technology used in the Resident Evil 3D films that was desired to be used in the Castlevania game movie. Nevertheless, you can check out an IGN interview with Paul W.S. Anderson below discussing how he still desires to do the film and what kind of elements are necessary to make a video game adaptation movie a success to start with.
