A facinating article for the making of the classic Castlevania Symphony of the Night featuring Alucard

Let's turn back the clock, oh about 15 years or so. Right about the time when the grandfather of all Castlevania hits had been released. Yes, Castlevania Symphony of the Night. Since we are in the 25th anniversary year of the Castlevania game series, I thought I'd share a really long and deep rooted article that was done from the guys at PushSquare today. It features the making of SOTN, the storyline, characters, and the origin of our beloved Alucard. Alucard being the son of Dracula, a half human, half vampire who despises his father and everything he stands for. It's been a long time since anything has come close to matching this Castlevania game masterpiece, and I don't even think to this day that any Castlevania title out there so far has even come close.

Some Castlevania game fans don't even realize that Castlevania SOTN was a direct sequel to the PC Engine CD game Rondo of Blood. The first sequence where Richter Belmont fights Dracula is actually the last scene from Rondo of Blood. The article makes for some good reading and rehashes old memories during a time when the Castlevania series was at its maximum peak.
