If you're having a hard time in Dracula's castle, Konami comes to the rescue with a strategy portal to help guide your whip

Thứ Tư, 24 tháng 4, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

Some whip it good, some not so much. But don't let that bother you, because if you're having difficulty making your way through Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, there is now a strategy portal released by Konami to help cure your whipping woes. There are two ways you can gain access to it. The first is online of course, while the second can be done using the 3DS browser, which can be done even during game play. Yep, no need to glance back and forth from 3DS to a map. This new guide should make it much easier to make your way around Mirror of Fate with less of a problem now. The site address for the guide can be found at http://future-press.com/mof/ and features the following according to Konami's press release recently.
Map Guide: Shows each area of the game. For a spoiler-free experience, players can select which parts are revealed by toggling through each of the available upgrades. Useful map notes with progression, puzzle, and battle advice are also available, providing players with an edge in every tricky situation.
Bestiary: Provides concise strategies and useful data for every enemy. Learn about their attacks, strengths and weaknesses.
Upgrades: Details the sub-weapons and magic for each character and explains how to use them efficiently.
Skills & Combos: Allows players to master every move at their disposal and suggests a handful of combos for different types of situations.
There are videos included that will help also. Apparently the videos will be listed on YouTube soon from what I understand. Also, check out a video below showcasing a long play session for Mirror of Fate that someone posted, which might give you some more insight into Mirror of Fate for those of you who are still new to it. This is Act 1, which is 2 hours 24 minutes long.

Now that Simon Belmont and Mirror of Fate have hit the store shelves nationwide, what is the final verdict for this long awaited title?

Thứ Tư, 6 tháng 3, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

It's considered a mixed blessing by some, and yet some consider it a genuine revitalizing of the entire Castlevania series for what it's always been known for. You know what I mean right? That classic "Metroidvania" feel that the saga has gotten a reputation of having. Let's take a good look at how Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate has taken fans by the whip and showed them that you can likely have the best of both worlds. Do you remember Dracula's Curse on the NES 8-bit system years ago? That was a major part of the catalyst that Mirror of Fate was to be built on, and yet that is definitely not where the games elements end. Lords of Shadow was also a part of the equation, adding game play mechanics that are pretty similar to how God of War plays and feels. The wild slashing/whipping type action it was known for has made its way into Mirror of Fate as well.

Needless to say, there are also unlockables, and quite a number of them for you to find. As the game progresses and you finish each act, more of the storyline reveals yet a deeper understanding of the characters within, especially our beloved Simon Belmont, the son of Gabriel Belmont, whom he has set out to avenge the death of and put an end to the evil that sweeps the land. The combat system has seen a great improvement in regards to what you and I are probably used to in a Castlevania game. What Mirror of Fate has tried to do, and has done it at least to a decent degree, is put classic Castlevania elements and combine it with some modern 3D elements based somewhat on what you might've seen in Lords of Shadow. It has been hailed as a rather 2D/3D type game, or basically 2.5D.

Let me break that down for you. It uses 3D modeled characters, combined with a 2D background type world. A quick look at the latest trailer below should give you a better understanding of what I mean by this. Like or hate it, and believe me there is quite a controversy out there taking place over this latest Castlevania title, one that usually happens when the question of the series should stay in a 2D universe or 3D. It's been a hot bed of discussion taking place for years now. So what is the final verdict? So far from what I've seen it's becoming a vicious love/hate relationship. What this means is that certain fans are let down from expecting the long lived MetroidVania feel game play they are used to, while others enjoy some of the newer introduced aspects of it, like the combat style and character designs. I don't however want to drive that decision home with you for your own purchase, but check out some other reviews and look closely at some trailers out there, including the latest one below, and if you can, MAKE SURE you download the demo for Mirror of Fate so you can also play it for yourself before you buy it. You can find it right now on Nintendo's 3DS eShop. Go get that puppy and give it a good whirl, it just might impress you, perhaps.

Simon Belmont's Story gets known somewhat with the new trailer for Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate

Chủ Nhật, 24 tháng 2, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

We are just a few days away from the long awaited and much anticipated release of Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, and with all the video footage out there, what else could we possibly learn about it? Why lots of course, starting with Simon Belmont. Or rather the storyline behind Simon Belmont, and some of the elements that take place within it. There is a new trailer out there that lasts for about 2 minutes and 10 seconds and shows a cinema sequence involving Simon and his quest to seek revenge for what happened to him. His parents were murdered and he will avenge their deaths and put an end to the evil that caused it. He meets a creepy looking apparition which shows him a vision in his amulet that he's wearing. He asks the apparition for help, but then it disappears, which is a bit odd.

You can look forward to purchasing this new 3DS Castlevania next month on March 5th if you live in North America. Europe will get their copy a few days later on the 8th, while Japan sees their release on the 20th.

The video below is the latest featured trailer showing a bit of storyline behind Simon Belmont, so be sure to check it out and let me know what you think of it so far. I'm wondering with this new trailer, if any others will surface before the game's launch date next month. If that happens I will post about it here as soon as I catch wind of it. Take care.

Castlevania Mirror of Fate gets an early demo later this month on the Nintendo 3DS eShop

Thứ Bảy, 16 tháng 2, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

As we get ever so closer to that almighty release date we Castlevania fans have been so eagerly waiting for, why not get a chance to play it before its official launch date? Oh yes, that's right!, play it about a week before it comes out! Konami themselves tweeted about it just yesterday on Twitter if you want to head there right now and check it out. After all, this is why I follow Konami, Hideo Kojima, and Dave Cox on Twitter. I love knowing this stuff as soon as it happens, and then telling you about it. Now that we finally have a new portable Castlevania game for 3DS, how long has it been since that's happened? Let's see, 2008 was the last time it happened, with Castlevania Order of Ecclesia. Oh and by the way, yes, that is Shanoa you're looking at to the right of this page. She is one of my personal favorite Castlevania characters, next to Alucard and Simon Belmont.

So is Mirror of Fate a 3D game or a 2D game? How about both. It's actually been dubbed as a 2.5D type of game. 2D environment, with 3D modeled characters, something that is a bit of a first in the Castlevania game series. From what I've seen of the recent game play footage of it that's out there, that's a welcome treat in my book. February 28th, the very end of this month is when the demo hits the 3DS eShop. So mark that on your calender for those of you who decide you just can't wait another 5 days to start killing vampires. The launch date for Mirror of Fate is on March 5th for those in North America. Europe will see its release just a few days later on March 8th. Japan will get their whipping action on March 20th. Have a good look at the latest video below, featuring Konami games producer Dave Cox, as he explains the storyline and elements of Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate. It runs about 1:41 seconds and gives a better understanding of the game play mechanics that take place within. Enjoy, and let me know what you think about it and if  you're planning to get the new Castlevania when it launches next month.

An exclusive interview with Mirror of Fate producer Dave Cox and the magic behind the new Castlevania game

Chủ Nhật, 10 tháng 2, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

With all the coverage I've been trying to gather for the new Castlevania game Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, one thing that I haven't seen done yet is a full on interview with Dave Cox, who is producer for the first Lords of Shadow, Mirror of Fate, and the current in development Lords of Shadow 2. That problem has finally seen a remedy, thanks to the folks at DailyMail recently who asked a number of questions regarding the latest in the series. One of the cool features he points out, is the utilization of 3D stereoscopic elements in the game will be done "to the max".

A few of the things I'd like to point out, which of course are my personal favorite aspects that Cox talks about, is the fact that Mirror of Fate will be delivering a grand total of about 20 hours worth of game play, giving players more bang for their buck. Now don't take that to heart, as sometimes when a developer says a game will last a certain time, you can sometimes bet that the experience will likely be a bit longer, perhaps even considerably longer. Another pleasant fact is that Dave Cox decided to use classic Castlevania games like "Dracula's Curse" as a base model for developing Mirror of Fate, something that many fans of the series were hoping for. You can expect a March 5th release of it in North America, while Europe see its release on March 8th, followed by Japan on March 20th.

Another cool fact is that Mirror of Fate is a sequel to the first Lords of Shadow, and the attack system that was used in the first LOS will make its way into Mirror of Fate, as well as a few new never before seen moves that will be added. The storyline that's involved will center around the battle between the Belmonts versus Dracula and his minions as usual, only this time the story this time is told from Dracula's own perspective, something that is a first in Castlevania history. A bit of a unique concept. Oh, and for you Wii-U owners out there, sorry, according to Cox, there will be no Wii-U version of Castlevania Mirror of Fate being released for that system, as it is 3DS exclusive title only. Now that being said, he did mention that there could be an HD version in our future, as the game was done in HD, and the data for it is stored in their computers for possible future use. Here's hoping that will take place if we're lucky enough. Also if you haven't as of yet, check out the latest video trailer for Mirror of Fate below, and then check out the interview that was done at DailyMail and let me know what you think about it. Cheers!

Dave Cox gives an exclusive commentary for the next Castlevania game Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate

Thứ Sáu, 8 tháng 2, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

Can't get enough videos of the next Castlevania game Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate? Neither can I. That's a problem that needs a remedy, and Dave Cox, producer for Konami games development has come to the rescue with two new exclusive videos, with himself giving commentary along the way! The first is an all out introduction to the game, which begins the storyline of Gabriel Belmont and gives an up close and personal perspective of what the new Castlevania game is all about. It lasts about 6 and a half minutes long and finally reveals some information we've all been eagerly waiting for. It shows the entire prologue, which is something people have been asking for sometime now.

Next comes the juicy part, where we are now past the prologue and are getting into the actual game play and game play mechanics with showcase Simon Belmont's cool moves and how to use his character. You're in for a real treat with this one because it lasts for a whopping 9 and a half minutes of awesome Castlevania game action! This is by far the most in depth footage we've seen so far for Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate, and it couldn't come soon enough. Let me know what you think of the new commentary footage from Dave Cox himself, which was a nice treat for the fan base out there. You can look forward to purchasing Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate for your Nintendo 3DS hand held system this coming March 5th in North America, while Europe will see its release soon after on March 8th. Japanese Castlevania fans will get to enjoy their copy in the same month on March 20th. Watch both videos below and feel free to give your feedback about them. Enjoy!

An HD version of Castlevania Mirror of Fate just might be a reality

Thứ Hai, 4 tháng 2, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

With the next Castlevania game Mirror of Fate fixing to take off, the almighty question has been asked to Dave Cox, head of Mercury Steam, if there might be an HD version of Mirror of Fate in our future. Dave responded to the question by stating:

""We want as many people to play it as possible. Obviously we have an exclusivity deal with Nintendo right now though and they've been very supportive of the product."

"We created everything in high definition - all the textures, all the levels, high-poly models, everything - and we kind of shrunk it all down into the 3DS."

"Then we lost bones from characters, you know, we dropped the resolution of the textures and everything to make it fit. At MercurySteam we have an HD version of the game sitting there in a computer somewhere."

That sounds like a pleasing prospect, and if the new Castlevania game takes off like I believe it likely will thanks to all of the footage we've seen lately, then you just might can expect an HD version of Mirror of Fate headed to your living room in the near future. Here is hoping.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate description:

Initially set 25 years after the events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Mirror of Fate will reveal the story of Gabriel's descendants, as they battle their own destiny in each era only to discover their true, shocking fate. Trevor Belmont, a knight of the Brotherhood of Light sets out to avenge the death of his mother, at the hands of his own father, who has now returned from years in exile to take up residence in a mysterious castle. What was once Gabriel Belmont now stands a powerful vampire named Dracula. Dracula has declared war upon the Brotherhood and thus the scene is set for a cataclysmic showdown between Father and Son!

The new 3DS Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate promises to deliver at least 20 hours of game play experience for you

Chủ Nhật, 27 tháng 1, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

I've been there before. You know, when you see a trailer to a new game and after watching it decide you want it for yourself. Then comes the bad part, when you get it home and play it only to realize you've finished it in only a few hours. Don't you hate it when that happens? I sure do. However there is some really great news for all of you fans of the Castlevania game series out there. That being the latest Castlevania game Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate. According to Dave Cox, who is head of the development team at Mercury Steam, has made a statement recently that addresses the issue of longevity game play value. He states that Mirror of Fate will deliver at LEAST a minimum of 20 hours of game play for those who decide to purchase it. Now with that being said, I want to make one thing crystal clear. Almost every time a developer says that a game will last a certain amount of time, you can almost guarantee that it will be considerably longer than that.

Replay value and download able content are something that Mercury Steam is becoming more and more famous for these days. With this new 3DS Castlevania game you can expect to have some extra goodies likely coming from the Nintendo eShop section soon as well. Lords of Shadow 2 is also expected to have much more DLC than the first one, something that players have been begging for more of since the first one made its debut back in 2010. The new Mirror of Fate game is also expected to be linkable to Lords of Shadow 2 for even more features to boot. So gamers can definitely look forward to a minimum of 20 hours of Castlevania goodness soon, and likely more than that for most of you fans. Once again, Mirror of Fate is set for a launch date in North America on March 5th, while Europe will see its release just a few days later on March 8th. Japanese gamers will get to have a taste soon after on March 20th. In the mean time, check out the latest cool video trailer for the new Castlevania 3DS game below. it lasts exactly 1:45 and showcases some more game play footage and battle scenes within the game. Let me know what you think about it and comment below. Cheers!

More new screen shots of the latest Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate are released

Thứ Sáu, 25 tháng 1, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

As we gear up for a March 5th release of the latest Castlevania game Lords of Shadow - Mirror of fate, it is never too much to give too much information, especially in the form of some cool new looking screen shots that have just been released. These are full on game play shots and are able to give you a better understanding of the play mechanics of Mirror of Fate should any of you still have any last minute wonders on whether or not this new 3DS hit will be on your wish list this year. Oh and while I'm at it, Dave Cox of Mercury Steam has Tweeted this recently about the release date of Mirror of Fate for those of you who live in Japan and can't wait to have a taste.

"Dave Cox@CastlevaniaLOS Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate for Nintendo 3DS has its Japanese release announced. March 20th - konami.jp"

You can head to that link right now and check it out if you like. Also keep in mind that the North America release date is set for March 5th, while Europe will see its release on March 8th a few days later. There are a few more screen shots to see than just the ones below if you head to the source page where they are from which is located at ComputerAndVideoGames. Have fun.

*UPDATE*

A couple of new tidbits to add to this post I just found out. Both Konami and Nintendo have joined forces to make the release of Mirror of Fate across Europe an easier task. Nintendo will handle the distribution, with Konami being the publisher. There has also been a new trailer released which showcases some new game play footage for you to watch. It's at the bottom of this post below. Enjoy!

More coverage on Castlevania Mirror of Fate with added screen shots and they are getting sweeter

Thứ Ba, 11 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

There is just so much material turning up, what's going on here? I can't miss any opportunities so bare with me. I've just found not only another excellent preview article for Castlevania Mirror of Fate, but they also seemed to have a few more screen shots then I've been able to find so far. The more the better right? You can see for yourself if you head over to GamingExaminer where they did a decent job covering Mirror of Fate and providing some nice screen shots to go with it. Some of the new Castlevania game shots I didn't know existed, and check out that Alucard poster type shot, nice isn't it?

We still don't have a very "recent" in depth video trailer, but then again Konami games development seems to play that game on a regular basis, as I'm sure there should be one out before too long. If you're like me, then you want some hardcore "in your face" Castlevania game action, instead the usual watching someone else play Mirror of Fate on a 3DS from a distance. As soon as anything else gets known, or released, I'll post it here as soon as possible. So what do you think of the new screen shots so far?

Second hands on preview for Castlevania Mirror of Fate with some more game play footage action

| 0 nhận xét

Can't get enough of this can we? There was one review done just a few days ago, but then I stumbled upon another one if the first one wasn't enough. Castlevania Mirror of Fate has seen a second hands on preview performed by the guys at Siliconera yesterday, and well, we want every shred of every info we can get our hands on. The article done explains how the new attack system works, which is actually based somewhat on the attack system that Lords of Shadow had. Seriously, if you watch the two video trailers below you can get an idea of what it'll be like.

It isn't completely a transfer from Lords of Shadow's attack system, as there are a few new additions in that you can perform air dodge moves, or an air dash move. The new Castlevania game also features a rather 3D and 2D hybrid environment, in that the character models are 3D, while the surroundings are 2D in nature. The best part is that this Castlevania will not look like past Castlevania game titles. You remember how people talked about it, "Order of Ecclesia looks like Dawn of Sorrow", "Dawn of Sorrow looks like Portrait of Ruin." I heard that until I was blue in the face. So this time at least it's a different set up, look and appeal as opposed to older Castlevania game hits of the past. Now what are you waiting for, if you haven't already, check out the two videos below. The first one is a bit older, while the second is as recent as the later half of last month. Watch them both and tell me what you think of Mirror of Fate's development so far.

A special hands on preview for Castlevania Mirror of Fate along with some nice screen shots to boot

Chủ Nhật, 9 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Now that the GamesCom is over, and we know a bit more about some of the upcoming titles in development, the one thing a lot are focused on is the next Castlevania game Mirror of Fate. What will it be like? Who will be in it? Is it just going to be another knock off from past Castlevania game titles? A hands on preview is in order to answer those questions and someone has came to the rescue by having the chance to play the new Castlevania game and therefore take advantage of the 30 minutes of game play that was available there. If you head over to the preview page for it at EL33TONLINE you can find it in its entirety and it features a pretty in depth detail about what to expect when Mirror of Fate gets released early next year.

Yes, that's true, it was originally planned by Mercury Steam to make a release this year, but was delayed until early next year. Dave Cox of Mercury Steam gave an explanation, in that more time is needed to give the player the proper experience for their purchase. After all, you wouldn't want to buy a Castlevania game that was rushed through development only to find out you wasted your money. Konami games development sometimes does delays like this if they feel more tweaking is necessary for whatever game they're working on. As we draw closer to the end of the year, and more video trailers come out, we can then see the results of that delay and what more to expect early next year when Mirror of Fate finally makes its release.

Is Castlevania Mirror of Fate really a 3D title, or is it somewhat of a blend of 2D as well

Thứ Năm, 6 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Yes, and No. That probably didn't answer my own question, so let me approach it from another angle. Konami's Castlevania Mirror of Fate somewhat takes after Lords of Shadow, the character models are 3D based, but within a 2D setting, or surrounding. If you look at a couple of the screen shots, like the ones posted below, you can get a better idea and understanding of where Mercury Steam is trying to take the Castlevania game series as far as a Nintendo 3DS title is concerned. 3D characters, 2D world right? This is the first time in history Castlevania has landed on a hand held 3D platform, so it does explain why Mercury Steam has delayed Mirror of Fate until early next year, hopefully with Lords of Shadow 2 right around the corner. It also explains another thing, the new Castlevania game needs longevity right?, you want your purchase to have replay value and fully 3D games tend to get old fast. Castlevania has always shined the brightest in a 2D world as it is.

So based on what you've seen so far, do you plan on buying the new Castlevania game when it makes its release next year? Mirror of Fate is also said to have connectivity ability with the new Lords of Shadow 2 when it comes out as well. Watch the 12 minute hands on preview for Castlevania Mirror of Fate below.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate release time has been delayed due to technical reasons

Thứ Bảy, 18 tháng 8, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Not exactly, but now we know about when the new Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate is getting released for the Nintendo 3DS system. Konami game company has set a release time for early 2013 next year and now another question has been answered. We were wondering if Konami games development would have enough time to engineer a 3DS game well enough for the world to accept and get high appraisals. So it looks as if they are going to have enough time to do just that. According to the source page located at NintendoWorldReport yesterday. Dave Cox made this statement:

"It's been two years since the enormous success of Castlevania Lords of Shadow, and with this next installment, we want to take the necessary time needed to give fans a handheld title unlike any other,"

"Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate will bridge the storyline to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, also planned to release in 2013.  Both titles will reveal the shocking fate of the Belmont Clan in a dramatic culmination of the Lords of Shadow saga."

Now what's also good to hear is that Gabriel Belmont's descendants, which are Trevor and Simon Belmont will have their own story line revealed in Mirror of Fate which in turn further explains the Castlevania game storyline as a whole. So as soon as more screen shots and video trailers become known, I'll post them here so be sure to check back often, and let know what you think about the current shots and videos floating around out there. Some of them look pretty good.

Castlevania Mirror of Fate set to be a more open experience

Thứ Năm, 9 tháng 8, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Remember some past Castlevania hits like Order of Ecclesia and Dawn of Sorrow. It's been said they have a certain Metroidvania type feel to them. However, Dave Cox, producer of Mercury Steam has stated that this will no longer be the case with the upcoming Castlevania game Mirror of Fate. Cox said that Mirror of Fate will be a more full and open experience with more to explore than was possible in Lords of Shadow.

In a recent interview with OfficialNintendoMagazine yesterday, Dave Cox made these statements about the new in development Castlevania title:

"The game is still a combat action-adventure game, but we felt that was an area we could develop further to make it more interesting for players and give them more of a world.
"So in Lords Of Shadow, 90 per cent of the game takes place in the castle, the map is very reminiscent of the Metroidvania style of games. We're not trying to recreate a Metroidvania style game; what we're trying to do is expand exploration beyond the old linear style."

So it's starting to look more like the new Castlevania game will have more than was expected from what was seen at the E3 show this year. I hope it delivers what Mercury Steam seems to be promising.

Castlevania Mirror of Fate preview controversy and whether or not this 3DS title will actually make the grade next year

Thứ Sáu, 3 tháng 8, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Here is an article that was posted a while back about the upcoming Castlevania Mirror of Fate. A lot of people are wondering just how well made a 3DS Castlevania game is going to be, versus the 2D platform typical Castlevania of the past. It has always been a hot bed of controversy over whether or not Castlevania should remain in the 2D world where it usually is known and shines the brightest or if a 3D title can hold its own and still deliver good game play as the series has usually done. So without further delay, you can check out the preview that was done from the guys at ComputerandVideogames a short while back and draw your own conclusion. I guess the latest question to ask now is, based on what you know about the latest Castlevania game for 3DS, are you planning on purchasing it when it is released this fall. Or, are you going to wait and see what the final reviews say about. Or are you just simply saying to yourself, the hell with this one, I'll wait for something better. Let me know what you think.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate new images out showing game play content

Chủ Nhật, 8 tháng 7, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Many people are wondering more and more about what kind of 3D experience Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate will deliver. Most of us fans of past Castlevania games are used to the old style 2D game play and feel that really that is where every Castlevania game should be. But with the introduction of the Nintendo 3DS out there, and Konami game headquarters bringing out a 3DS Castlevania soon, the next question is what will it be like? So far we know that most of the game will be on a 2D plane with the remaining part in 3D, similar to classic Metroid. In fact some have called past Castlevania game titles "MetroidVania". It has a nice ring to it. Now on to the juicy parts, the screen shots and preview that you've wanted and here it is. The guys at Cubed3 have done a hands on preview of Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate and provide many screen shots for your viewing pleasure. From some of those shots it's starting to look like the next Castlevania is going to fair out pretty well. "Knock on wood".

Some of the elements in the game seem to stem from the classic Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse which was released on the 8-bit Nintendo more than two decades ago. Personally I think that's a great idea using Castlevania III as a model for some of the game design structure. But you can make your call. There are still some concerns with sluggish movement and camera angles and a few other obstacles though. Let's hope Mercury Steam will iron out those issues before this new Castlevania game will become a let down for so many.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate gets an official preview done for it recently

Thứ Sáu, 22 tháng 6, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

It seems fate has given me a second chance. Words spoken in the trailer out there for the upcoming Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate Castlevania for 3DS. There is a pretty lengthy preview done for it from the guys over at Metro.co.uk and I must say it is very well done. After watching the trailer and viewing the game play of the next big Castlevania game title I do have to admit despite the controversy of whether or not a 3DS game is going to be a big hit among Castlevania fans, it does look like it has potential. It's worth checking out if you haven't done so already and feel free to let me know what you think about what you see so far and what to expect. The Castlevania game trailer can also be found at the same page. Enjoy.

So what will Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate be like and what style of game play will it have?

Chủ Nhật, 17 tháng 6, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

This is the biggest question circling around lately. The next big Castlevania in development, what is it going to be like and will it be impressive in its 3D universe. The boys over at Siliconera have helped put an answer to that with a hands on experience at it. As time goes on we learn more and more about the new Castlevania game and what kind of game play you will have. Now that we know our beloved Alucard will be a playable character, not to mention the fact that Alucard will have his famous Mist power that he had in Symphony of the Night, the best 2D Castlevania game in existence so far. There are some screen shots to look at too if your in need of some visual details. The trailer on hand so far can also be found at Siliconera.
More on this as it becomes known.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate first impressions are now out to see

Thứ Ba, 12 tháng 6, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

After witnessing the game play at the E3 show that were among other Konami titles there, people got a first impression of what the Castlevania Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate was going to have in store for us. So far the answer isn't the best in the world, at least according to a review done by Exophase yesterday. It's a pretty extensive review and does go into detail of what to expect so far from the latest Castlevania game title.

Here is the problem, past Castlevania hits that were done in 3D didn't anywhere live up to par with the 2D counterparts that we've come to enjoy in the past. Remember Symphony of the Night?, sure you do. In my opinion that was the best of the best Castlevania game hits out there. So far however the latest 3D titles aren't looking to promising. I hope Konami headquarters realizes that long before the launch date and does everything in their power to fix whatever issues are currently plaguing Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate. Which happens to be frame rate problems for starters. You can check out the rest of the article and see what you think for yourself by heading to Exophase.
