What do I mean by "those who have a hard time"? Think about it like this, the first two Metal Gear Solid games play differently than those we've come to know and love in recent years. If you've played the first one then you have a pretty good idea of how hard the game can be at times. It was one element that might have even turned some players off, and ever since the announcement that the "Legacy Collection" will be hitting store shelves this year, the fans have wanted to know exactly what all is in it. How about every single Metal Gear Solid game in existence? Oh and yes, that also means Peace Walker will be a vital part of this new set. You see, one of the things fans complained about, was the lack of Peace Walker in the HD collection that surfaced last year. Not so this time around. It, like all of the others including the classic NES and MSX2 versions are there with bells on.
Now getting back to the topic. The reason for the addition of the motion based graphic novels can be explained easily. If you have a difficult game, why not include a graphic novel, which is somewhat of a movie of the game itself, with the game to aid the player in getting through all that madness? Hideo Kojima can explain the issue even further as he did recently on his Twitter account. To paraphrase him to the letter, he basically said, "Why does "MGS Legacy Collection" includes "BD"(Graphic Novel)? Because older games like MGS1 or MGS2 got different control feeling from that of today. Thus we decided to include those "watch MGS" for those who has difficulty playing".
So there you have it, this coming June you can look forward to playing all of your favorite main Metal Gear Solid games for the Playstation 3 system. There is no word if an Xbox360 version will ever see the light of day. Only the PS3 version has been announced so far. But for you PS3 owners, you will also be getting MGS VR missions, and the "trophy edition" of Guns of the Patriots, a personal favorite among the fan base out there. That is of course, along with those ever so helpful motion based graphic novels we've just discussed. Now feel free to check out some images below, and a video at the bottom which discusses this new gem about to hit your living room soon. As I hear more about this, I'll post it here as always. Stay tuned.
