How the Castlevania series has been inspiring to other games such as Assassin's Creed

The Castlevania series has been around for a long time. In fact, this year is the 25th anniversary of the Castlevania franchise, and because it has such deep roots, one might wonder if it has had an inspiration for other games these days. Well it has. Assassin's Creed Liberation happens to be one of them. Liberation seems to show off some elements that are somewhat taken right out of the Castlevania game universe and put into a hit series known for its stealthiness qualities. Even though a few out there believe that the Castlevania game series should never ever have entered the 3D world, since it probably shined the brightest on past game systems like the Super Nintendo with Super Castlevania IV and the Playstation 1 PSX with its Castlevania Symphony of the Night. That one of course belonging to the granddaddy of all Castlevania game hit titles. But yet it seems that some developers are taking a look into the past of Castlevania and are starting to use it as a blueprint or some kind of platform for their own games these days. Of course who knows, perhaps one day we might see a few elements borrowed from Symphony of the Night placed into another future Castlevania game itself.
