Review of the soundtrack to the first Silent Hill that was released on the PS1
| 0 nhận xét
A nice review has been done in honor of the original first ever Silent Hill released long ago on the original Playstation system. Some of you might not remember that particular Silent Hill game title because it was released over 13 years go. However the folks at Bloody-Disgusting have done quite a nice review or rather an honorable mention in view of the new Silent Hill game collection and the Silent Hill Downpour game out there. Even to this day the original Silent Hill game music was creepy and kept you on the edge of your seat. And now the Silent Hill game Downpour has come a long way since those golden days. Check out the review if you like by heading over to their Silent Hill game page located at Bloody-Disgusting. OR, you can just check out the entire FULL Silent Hill soundtrack below. Yeah, go ahead and download that sucker before it gets taken down from YouTube or something. ^_^
Silent Hill producer speaks out about Downpour and some of the past issues that older titles suffered from

Lousy controls in your game, you hate it right? The game has great graphics but poor game controls. A game should have the best of both worlds and Silent Hill game producer for the Downpour title and how he and his team will make sure the player is kept off guard with less predictability. He went on to state:
"I think the genre was lucky, to an extent, when it started out. A lot of horror elements ‘clicked’ such as clunky combat, confusing cameras, and so on. However, shoddy gameplay can’t be a feature forever, and so everyone fixed the combat – resulting in action games with creepier monsters. If horror games are going to be ‘scary’ in the future, it’s going to take careful game design to do it."
The new Silent Hill game should be an even bigger improvement over the last few Silent Hill game titles. There were a bit of control issues. The rest of the story can be found by heading to the source page located at PlaystationLifeStyle.

Konami to bring Metal Gear Solid collection in HD to PS Vita this coming summer
| 0 nhận xét
Now this is nice, the Metal Gear collection in HD for the PS Vita is heading to you this summer. Now for the bad news. Metal Gear Solid "Peace Walker" is the one that will not be in that collection. So what Konami games will be in it? Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Libery and Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater. Konami so far has not stated what will be the fate of Peace Walker although you also currently can't get it on PSN as a PSP title either. That's one Metal Gear game I would like Konami to make available on my Vita.
A metal tribute to the first Castlevania with a twist of guitar goodness

Discovered something you might not have seen, or rather heard. Remember the first ever Castlevania that Konami produced? Well a group called Vomitron has done a Guitar metal tribute to the classic Castlevania game series and after hearing it myself I was pretty impressed. There have been many metal tributes to other Castlevania game titles not to mention rock versions of its music. This one however somewhat stands out in the crowd of other Castlevania game tributes. If you would like to listen to it you can do so right now check out the video below. It definitely rocks the house down, or rather castle down.
Konami joins with GREE to offer Star Wars based card game soon

This one came out of left field. Konami game company has joined with Social Gaming Network GREE to produce a Star Wars based card game. Konami has posted a description of the new Star Wars card game as follows:
"STAR WARS COLLECTION is a card game that will have players collecting a rich assortment of characters and vehicles, undertaking missions as they travel from planet to planet throughout the Star Wars universe. The game seamlessly captures the signature Star Wars atmosphere as portrayed in the six films, and will feature Darth Vader, Yoda, R2-D2, and many more characters from the series via stunning photos. There are also plans to feature periodic events based on the original films’ storylines."
From the images I've seen it actually looks pretty decent. I never thought I would see a day when Konami games would dabble in the Star Wars universe. It's a little outside the realm of titles we're used to like the Castlevania game and Metal Gear Solid game series. If you would like to check out the rest of the story you can do so by heading over to the source of the story located at CrunchyRoll. Enjoy.
