Rumors and hints of Metal Gear Solid 5 keep surfacing as a new image shows Hideo Kojima and The Phantom Pain name

Thứ Sáu, 22 tháng 3, 2013 | 0 nhận xét

Lately there seems to be more and more hints and rumors about Metal Gear Solid 5, which is supposedly a next generation console title for PS4 and Xbox720. There is also a video trailer out there that I've posted below that is called "The Phantom Pain", which is *also* a supposed rumor that it may have something to do with Metal Gear Solid 5. But what are you supposed to believe and not believe, as there is quite a number to choose from floating around out there. Well there is a slight hint of something that might be concrete that happened lately. Hideo Kojima himself Tweeted an image that just may have hinted at his involvement in MGS5 and the image shown if you visit that link is a quite intriguing.

Let me break this all down for you and make it simple. Look at the top image below. It clearly says Hideo Kojima on the screen right? Also remember Kojima Tweeted the image himself. Now take a very close look at the bottom image. Look at the text and see what it says. Here let me help you out, from left to right it states TPP_GDC 2013_720p_esrb. Now the thing to pay attention to is the first 3 characters, which of course are TPP. Now what does that mean? How about "The Phantom Pain". That could be a bit obvious if you think about it. So I believe we now know that Hideo Kojima is involved in The Phantom Pain project, and unless official sources say otherwise, we can just stick with that.

Now is the big question to ask, is The Phantom Pain actually Metal Gear Solid 5? You see that's where I have a hard time dealing with this one. People out there believe that it is, but I haven't seen real proof of it. So as far as I know, TPP could be just an entirely separate game and project, having nothing to do with MGS5. If any of you out there have any solid proof to the contrary, feel free to leave me a comment with some links showing it and I'll be happy to post about it here as soon as possible. In the meantime, take a good look at The Phantom Pain video trailer below, and then draw your own conclusion as to what's going on with this whole mess.

TPP_GDC 2013_720p_esrb      The Phantom Pain perhaps?

Is Metal Gear Solid 5 a reality or just another bad rumor?

Thứ Bảy, 22 tháng 12, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

It's always my intention to only post about real, hard core confirmed news on this blog, but sometimes even rumors can be in some way a type of news, so here it goes. It seems that ever since the possibility of Metal Gear Solid 5 was rumored to be in production, a few individuals were going nuts about it. Here is a link to a post I made a while back about how Konami games development themselves stated that a supposed "Metal Gear Solid 5 image" was indeed a fake. You can find that link here. But now there seems to be a new rumor out there that a possible MGS5 is being done, and likely going to be titled "The Phantom Pain". According to a source article located at Examiner yesterday, some odd hints here and there are making it seem more likely that it might just be MGS5.

But that's where it ends for me, because as far as I'm concerned I *currently* am taking this whole thing with a grain of salt. I don't believe these sort of things until I see some actual confirmation from Konami themselves, which is also usually accompanied with some images or even a video trailer. You know, like the one we were bestowed with for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. So let me humor you into watching this new alternative Phantom Pain video and you can comment your thoughts on the matter and whether or not you can believe if this is MGS5, or just another one of those huge waste of time false ideas out there.

Metal Gear Solid 5? Or just another unconfirmed rumor.

It might be a reality for Metal Gear Solid 5 to see a release next year

Thứ Ba, 21 tháng 8, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

We already know a lot about Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, but what about the newest Metal Gear game Metal Gear Solid 5? According to a post at OXM today, Silent Hill game voice artist Eric Bossick has announced that MGS 5 just might be released by summer of 2013. Bossick went on to state that he is not doing any voice acting this time around but instead doing motion capture. He is keeping almost the whole thing a big secret as Konami and Hideo Kojima almost always do and not much is allowed to be known at this time. Eric Bossick made these statements recently:

"I'm doing motion capture only. I can 100 per cent say my voice will not be involved in this," he went on. "I don't even know what the title is, they are all very secretive and sometimes even the scenes I act out I don't even know the full story, because they want to keep it secret."

"I suppose it is fine to mention I am working on it, everybody knows Kojima is making something now, and I posted the photo on my page here with him. The only thing is that I can't ever answer any questions about it or talk about, not for some time..."

"There's a further titbit at the bottom of the page. "Well, what I can tell you is I am NOT doing Snake, but an ally of his."

So there you have it, details of the new Metal Gear game are in its infancy as of right now but like always as soon as I find more details I will post it here. For a tad bit more to this story, you can check out the source page located at OXM.

Konami says Metal Gear Solid 5 images are a total fake

Thứ Hai, 16 tháng 7, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Apparently there are some images floating out there that show off the next new Metal Gear game in production which is Metal Gear Solid 5. Konami game headquarters has stated that they are in fact a fraud, a fake. Konami was tweeting this a while ago:

""Seriously, just in case the ‪#pinch‬ ‪#salt‬ hashtags weren't enough - the chap who claims to have set up the fake rumours has been in touch."

Now if you head to the source article at Gameranx you will see a set of images that were supposedly taken at the Comic Con recently with Hideo Kojima showing off the new Metal Gear game Metal Gear Solid 5.
Konami game company in UK on the other hand says these are not real and this is all just speculation. Some folks are saying that Konami screwed up and is trying to hide these images and is simply debunking the situation. What do you think?

The new Metal Gear is now a reality says Hideo Kojima and the Fox Engine will be a major part of it

Thứ Sáu, 22 tháng 6, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

No, your eyes are not deceiving you. This is the truth. It has now been confirmed by Hideo Kojima himself that a new Metal Gear is in development. Metal Gear Solid 5 is the generic name we know so far. Hideo Kojima had this to say about the next big Metal Gear game a short while ago:

“There will be a Metal Gear Solid 5 with the new FOX Engine, but what we’ve shown was not game play, or anything like that,” said Kojima. “It was only a demo that we had developed internally and released because the lighting and interactions with the environment had fooled everyone.”

“About Metal Gear Solid 5, I can tell you two things. There will be much question of infiltration, espionage, and convincing people to give you “a favor” like in the last Metal Gear Solid. I liked the idea of social interactions in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, but we will see,

So now it seems that Solid Snake isn't quite yet dead. Or at least Konami game headquarters isn't yet ready to give up on our beloved Solid Snake. I guess the old man still has a few years left in him, or at least one more Metal Gear game before he kicks the bucket. You can read a bit more about this and post your comments here about what you think by checking out the page at PSU. Enjoy.
