Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 makes it on the most wanted list for we the long time fans

And why shouldn't it be? The upcoming Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 has made the most wanted list according to an article at TheGamersHub recently, and i applaud the decision. Why?, well for starters they did make a certainly good point about something I wanted to touch on. When some people found out that Kojima Productions wasn't going to make the first Lords of Shadow, they immediately assumed that the Castlevania game series has just met a stopping point, and the new title wasn't going to live up to the level that it's been known for. Mercury Steam proved that concept wrong when it finally made its release. Dave Cox of Mercury Steam and staff included are also longtime Castlevania game fans themselves, and they weren't about to botch this one up.

Konami games development didn't reveal very much about Lords of Shadow 2, but as time rolls on there should be more as there usually is. I'm counting on it as we get closer to Christmas. As for the latest Castlevania game Mirror of Fate, the PAX prime show gave us a much better understanding of what to expect from what I like to call the "pocket size version" of  Lords of Shadow. The attack system for it is somewhat similar to Lords of Shadow in some respects. Plus, Mirror of Fate is said to be linkable to Lords of Shadow. On another note, the first Lords of Shadow didn't quite have the kind of downloadable content that Konami had wanted for it, but that's a case that they have now claimed will be remedied when the next Castlevania game Lords of Shadow 2 makes its debut, whenever they say that will be of course. Dave Cox, talks in the video below about the success of the first Lords of Shadow and what fans can come to expect from the next one. He also makes a mention about Mirror of Fate. Some reasons why Castlevania Mirror of Fate has seen a delay and likely won't come out this year

A lot of people are wondering about Castlevania Mirror of Fate and why it had to be delayed. So let's start with this perspective. Remember when the Konami games E3 showcase this year revealed game footage and let people play a demo of Mirror of Fate? Yeah, some weren't exactly amazed at what they saw and what they had a chance to play. It had been thought that Konami was originally going to have a release time set for this fall, but now we know that's not the case. Mercury Steam developer Dave Cox, one of the key guys behind the Lords of Shadow project and the upcoming Castlevania game Lords of Shadow 2 and Mirror of Fate titles, had these statements to make about the cause for the delay:

"It's been two years since the enormous success of Castlevania Lords of Shadow, and with this next installment, we want to take the necessary time needed to give fans a handheld title unlike any other,"

"Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate will bridge the storyline to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, also planned to release in 2013.  Both titles will reveal the shocking fate of the Belmont Clan in a dramatic culmination of the Lords of Shadow saga."

So there you have it so far, it looks like Nintendo 3DS fans are going to have to wait a little longer to play their first ever 3D hand held Castlevania game. So much the better, since this is never something you want to rush through and just throw out there and expect long time Castlevania fans to just accept it. It's usually better this way. Here are some of the features to expect for early next year when it does finally get released.

Alucard will be in Castlevania Mirror of Fate as a playable character you can use

The details on the latest Konami games just keep emerging, and as I find them of course I'll post about it here. According to Dave Cox, which is the producer of Lords of Shadow, he confirmed that yes, Alucard will definitely be a playable character in the next Castlevania game Mirror of Fate. His special ability?, well, remember what cool ability he had in the famous Castlevania game Symphony of the Night? It was his Mist familiar.
