You folks in Japan are going to love this one. This is another one of those reasons why I believe that 2012 is the year for Metal Gear madness. After all, it is the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear game series. To pay homage to this, a new style of PS3 is fixing to launch the same exact day that Metal Gear Rising Revengeance launches in Japan on February 21st of next year. What is included with this?, besides the awesome new design as you can see in the image below, you also get a Rising Dual Shock 3 controller, a 250gb hard drive, download codes for both a new cyborg ninja outfit, a customized PS3 wallpaper, and last but not least, a copy of the game itself.
Japanese owners can expect to purchase this complete set for ¥31,960, or $373 in U.S. currency. That sounds like a pretty sweet setup if you ask me. As you can see in the image below, I wonder how many PS3 systems will get sold just because of Metal Gear Rising Revengeance alone. One can only speculate at this point, but isn't it going to be very interesting to see the numbers released after launch day takes place in only 2 and a half months. So what do you think about the new PS3 bundle? Not bad eh?
