In a manner of speaking that is. Remember last year Konami released a dating simulator called LovePlus? Well dating sims seem to get popular quickly at least in this case because LovePlus became so darn successful that a Japanese man marries one of the characters in the game itself! That's a bit messed up I know, and to prove I'm not lying as always here is a link to the story that was posted last year at Crunchgear. After your done shaking your head lets move on. This Konami game title has given a license to allow cell phone chargers to be based on LovePlus. These LovePlus chargers will feature 3 models based on the main characters in LovePlus. The company WebCrew is also providing adapters to make them compatible with other devices like the Iphone and Nintendo DS system. Remember the save game patch issue that took place after Castlevania "Lords of Shadow" was released? Well I also mentioned that only the PS3 version had been released. The Xbox 360 version should have seen a release soon after and it didn't. I guess 360 owners save game issues weren't as bad as on the PS3. Nevertheless Konami has made an announcement regarding said matter and has stated that the Xbox 360 version will receive a patch for download "shortly". Since its release Castlevania LOS has become a platinum seller, a rather first for Konami when it comes to intermixing any Castlevania game title with a 3D world. And Christmas is just around the corner and I'm wondering how many copies of Lords of Shadow will see their way under the tree this year.
The upcoming Konami game "Dance Dance Revolution" has seen a partial release of its song list thanks to Konami today. This all new DDR title has with it 50 total music tracks which includes 20 master tracks from big hit names. Konami has released Dance Dance Revolution for all three systems out there, Nintendo Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. Each version of DDR makes use of the hardware such as the Playsation Move, the Xbox Kinect and the Wii all in various ways for a different experience. From what I understand, the PS3 version of this new Konami game might be the superior version of the three in that it also makes good use of the Playstation Eye device allowing you to see a version of yourself on your TV, which is supposed to deliver a more realistic dance experience. People wanted it, they even demanded it, and Konami responded. Richter Belmont and Maria Renard are now added to this sweet new Castlevania for you to download and use. This whole thing took place in less than a week after Konami released Julius Belmont and Yoko Belnades, a nice addition from a previous DS Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow. For those of you who don't know Maria and Richter, Richter Belmont was the main hero in Rondo of Blood, while Maria Renard was an unlockable secondary usable character. Both of which made another appearance in the hit title, Castlevania Symphony of the Night, which was a direct sequel to Rondo of Blood. As you can see they were highly sought after for use in Harmony of Despair. Konami is charging 240 MS points for each character or about $3 USD. Found a bit more in depth info and artwork regarding the new Castlevania Harmony of Despair. Just a few days ago I mentioned that 2 characters were just added for download. Julius Belmont and Yoko Belnades from Castlevania game Dawn of Sorrow, the first Castlevania to come out on the Nintendo DS. If you head over to 1up you'll see what I mean. Castlevania Harmony of Despair still hasn't seen a hint that Maria Renard from Rondo of Blood is making a debut, but there is hope.
