Silent Hill Downpour reduced in price for both systems.

Thứ Bảy, 15 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Let's turn back the clock a number of months. Remember way back on March 13th, we were graced with the new Silent Hill game Downpour? Well, now that we are halfway through September, Amazon has decided to drastically cut the price of Downpour down to a mere $17.06 for the PS3 version, and an even lesser $16.43 for you Xbox360 owners. The link for the PS3 version can be found here, while the link for the Xbox360 version can be found here. I believe by now Konami games development has made enough patches and fixes to cure the problems that ailed the new Silent Hill game with little consequences. It has been a rough year for Downpour, especially for 360 users who had to wait longer to get their fixes. That might have been due in part to the larger amount of sales of the PS3 versions, which led to a bigger crowd for Konami to attend to. Remember when that wasn't the case with the second Silent Hill game that came out a number of years ago on the PS2?

Also keep in mind that both versions have free shipping available if you intend to purchase either one.

Silent Hill Downpour set to release in Japan in November

Thứ Bảy, 8 tháng 9, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

The Japanese, who are also fans of the Silent Hill series will get a taste of Konami's latest horror title this coming November the 8th. It was certainly a rough start for Konami games development as the new Silent Hill game Downpour has seen its fair share of patches and fixes, something that has plagued it for a while now. Now here is the kicker,....Silent Hill Downpour will only be released on the PS3 game system and not on the Xbox 360. Why?, because Japan has no respect for Microsoft and they never buy Xbox games.

Remember a time when it was just Sega, and Nintendo? Or Sega, Sony, and Nintendo? The inclusion of a game system from Microsoft that's based on PC hardware didn't set in too well with Japan, or even some folks around the world. It just didn't seem right. Microsoft dominated the computer market, and now they wanted to dominate the console market. Do you blame Japan for not wanting any part of it and Konami not releasing the new Silent Hill game for Xbox 360? I don't.

Silent Hill producer speaks out about Downpour and some of the past issues that older titles suffered from

Thứ Năm, 5 tháng 4, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

Lousy controls in your game, you hate it right? The game has great graphics but poor game controls. A game should have the best of both worlds and Silent Hill game producer for the Downpour title and how he and his team will make sure the player is kept off guard with less predictability. He went on to state:

"I think the genre was lucky, to an extent, when it started out. A lot of horror elements ‘clicked’ such as clunky combat, confusing cameras, and so on. However, shoddy gameplay can’t be a feature forever, and so everyone fixed the combat – resulting in action games with creepier monsters. If horror games are going to be ‘scary’ in the future, it’s going to take careful game design to do it."

The new Silent Hill game should be an even bigger improvement over the last few Silent Hill game titles. There were a bit of control issues. The rest of the story can be found by heading to the source page located at PlaystationLifeStyle.

Thứ Ba, 25 tháng 1, 2011 | 0 nhận xét

The details just keep flooding in. Besides having a new camera system, as well as some side quests added, now we know about when the darn thing is going to be released. According to a post located at WeGotThisCovered yesterday, the upcoming Silent Hill Downpour will be headed to your PS3 and Xbox 360 as early as this Fall. Of course, you know how that sometimes goes, so don't hold Konami to that date, or rather time frame. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being more towards Christmas time, but then again I'm just thinking about how some releases work. Anyway, there are quite a number of screen shots of the Silent Hill game to drool over in the meantime by visiting the source page at WeGotThisCovered. Enjoy.

Yes, that's right. Konami is actually asking you the fan for your concept art drawings for Silent Hill Downpour campaign it's holding which they are naming "Be Buried in Silent Hill!" What does this mean for you? Easy, if you submit your own art of burial sculptures, and Konami picks them for the win, they get rendered into the Downpour Silent Hill game graveyard. Not bad. But pay attention because your art must be original and not rehashes of existing Silent Hill game characters or other art. There is a video for you to watch which explains the Facebook campaign Konami is doing in all its detail.
