Konami releases new casino management system called Synkros

Thứ Hai, 8 tháng 10, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

I don't usually talk about gambling systems on this blog, but since Konami development also dabbles into that realm, and this is kind of cool, I thought I'd do a post about it. Konami has released a new casino management system called Synkros at G2E Las Vegas recently. It basically is a re-branded type of system, as Michael Ratner told InterGaming recently, “Synkros represents a dramatic product enhancement initiative for our systems business.” The new setup is designed to enable greater syncronisation of an entire casino property, offering the opportunity to target players via bonusing on either a one-to-many or one-to-one basis.

As a lot of you might not be into the whole gambling scenario, you can see from the screen shot below, it's quite a setup. Konami has been into the casino business for years now, adding new types of touch screen technology to its systems, networking and so fourth. Hmm, kind of wish I was in Las Vegas right now, Konami casino games, and the famous all you can eat buffets.

What Konami hits would you like to see make its way to the Nintendo 3DS?

Thứ Tư, 16 tháng 5, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

It's been a long time since Konami has even spoken of a new Castlevania for the Nintendo DS/3DS handheld system. The last Castlevania title to embrace us was Order of Ecclesia way back in 2008. That's far too long to wait for a new Castlevania game adventure and Konami must know we are craving more. There is a bed of controversy about it at IGN today in an article they have which brings up some good points. Personally I would love to see a 3DS sequel of the Castlevania Order of Ecclesia released but that might be wishful thinking. Check out the article at IGN and tell me what Konami games you would like to see released and let me know your thoughts about it.

Konami joins with GREE to offer Star Wars based card game soon

Thứ Năm, 5 tháng 4, 2012 | 0 nhận xét

This one came out of left field. Konami game company has joined with Social Gaming Network GREE to produce a Star Wars based card game. Konami has posted a description of the new Star Wars card game as follows:

"STAR WARS COLLECTION is a card game that will have players collecting a rich assortment of characters and vehicles, undertaking missions as they travel from planet to planet throughout the Star Wars universe. The game seamlessly captures the signature Star Wars atmosphere as portrayed in the six films, and will feature Darth Vader, Yoda, R2-D2, and many more characters from the series via stunning photos. There are also plans to feature periodic events based on the original films’ storylines."

From the images I've seen it actually looks pretty decent. I never thought I would see a day when Konami games would dabble in the Star Wars universe. It's a little outside the realm of titles we're used to like the Castlevania game and Metal Gear Solid game series. If you would like to check out the rest of the story you can do so by heading over to the source of the story located at CrunchyRoll. Enjoy.

Konami unveils Virtual Space in Playstation Home area for fans to make use of

Thứ Tư, 24 tháng 11, 2010 | 0 nhận xét

Today Konami shows off its rooftop penthouse suite in PlayStation®Home which will feature many various things such as twitter feeds, commercial shops, mini games and more. Konami titles like Dance Dance Revolution are also making a debut as a mini game where players can gather and have group dance offs and solo dance offs, something that hasn't happened before on this type of format. The Virtual Space is also offering fans an invitation by Konami themselves to spend the holiday weekend at an open house, which will also feature a self guided tour.

What's really nice is the fact that the more time players spend in space, the more points they can earn to unlock content for big Konami hits such as Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, Pro Evolution Soccer, and Silent Hill. This is all taking place starting tomorrow on Thanksgiving, Konami wants to kick start it off by giving its fans content that can't be gotten elsewhere and to pay homage to its hit game releases. For even more about this event you can head over to the site Gamasutra and check it out or you can simply head straight to Konami and find out how to get in on the action.
