Now that North America is seeing a release date later this month for the new Silent Hill game Book of Memories, what about the folks from down under? Konami games development has confirmed and set an official release date of November 8th, which is not too far off for you Aussie fellows to enjoy the latest horror title. After delay upon delay just to get a chance to play the official demo, now currently out for download on the PSVita, Silent Hill game fans can look forward to surviving death on the road. Book of Memories was delayed what, like four times? I never could see what the hold up was, but than again this sort of thing isn't new when it comes to Konami. It'll be done when it's done I guess. You can also obtain the official soundtrack to the new Silent Hill game via a download, or as a purchase on the same date at the game itself. The music score was done by Dianiel Licht, the man responsible for music from the TV show Dexter. Won't that be nice to listen to in your car while doing 90mph, although I wouldn't recommend that sort of speed. If you haven't already, check out one of the latest videos of Book of Memories below, it's over 16 minutes of hands on game play from the new demo!

It's finally official, I think for real this time, no really! OK enough of that, after delaying what seemed like four different times, Konami games development has FINALLY announced a confirmed release date for the new Silent Hill game Book of Memories. Drum roll please...................October the 16th! Boy I hope that date doesn't change again. I don't think it will this time, but don't quote me on that. Good news however, the demo for Book of Memories is supposedly going to be released on on the Playstation Network this Tuesday on October the 2nd, which is just a few short days away. You will at least then be able to see how good the new hand held title really is and whether or not it's worth you forking out the purchase price of the full game when it actually does get released.
The new Silent Hill game has a different perspective this time around, so it may or may not sit well with long time fans of the Silent Hill game series. It's a top-down viewpoint title and promises to deliver the features that the PSVita is well known for, while trying to scare you to death. This marks the first time in Silent Hill history that Konami games development has tried this sort of approach and somewhat backed away from the style of game play that Silent Hill is known for. But different isn't always bad, sometimes it's good. The real answer should come next week, when the demo comes out, and officially, on October the 16th.
